Monkey puzzle or Araucaria trees are some of the most primitive trees on earth. In the Dinosaur Digs expansion, it was a grassland tree, and the favorite of the mighty Tyrannosaurus. In Zoo Tycoon 2 it is available in Extinct Animals and it was placed in the alpine biome.
The Monkey puzzle, as well as being the favourite foliage of Tyrannosaurus, is also liked by the Giant Ground Sloth and Macrauchenia.
