The Reindeer, Rangifer tarandus, is a member of the deer family that lives in the Arctic region. In North America, it is also known as the Caribou. The reindeer, at a global level, is listed by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (ICUN) "as Least Concern due to a wide circumpolar distribution and presumed large populations."

In Zoo Tycoon

In the original Zoo Tycoon, the reindeer appears as one of the animals which players can use to populate zoos. Though it was originally obtained via the old Zoo Tycoon website, a history of changes to the site have made it so it can only be obtained in Zoo Tycoon: Complete Collection.
